Quality Occupational Therapy - Reducing Risk, Improving Independence

Testimonials

Understanding, Useful & Kind

We were really grateful for Activ-OT's informative and useful recommendations. Donna was really understanding, realistic in her suggestions and, above all, kind. We would definitely recommend them to anyone needing occupational therapy services for an elderly friend or relative.

Professional, Helpful & Patient!

To Whom It May Concern,

This testimonial is to confirm that Miss Hedges and Ms Park have been attending Littlebourne House for almost two years in the capacity of Occupational Therapists. They attend the home once a week with a continuing assessment of all our residents and advise the home on equipment and aids to help residents maintain independence for as long as possible.

They have training sessions with staff to show them how to do passive exercises with residents to keep them active and walking. They have documented their findings on each individual so that staff can follow instruction on the exercises advised and how to use equipment aids, this allows each individual to live their life to the best if their capabilities. These assessments are regularly updated should situations change in any way.

In the time they have been advising the home, both Miss Hedges and Ms Park have been professional, helpful and patient. They have a good working relationship with staff and residents alike, who look forward to seeing them.

As a home, I feel that by having OT's advising and assessing, it is forward thinking and many homes are now looking at this service to enhance the service they provide. We are of the opinion that this is money well spent as we are not draining the ever pushed NHS services for OT advice, AIDS and assessments for which there are long waiting lists.
